RIVID LOG

Tips & Features

What Rivid Log can do, and where to find it. Many of the most useful features are a swipe or a tap away.

Workouts

Repeat a workout
Swipe right on a workout and tap Clone. Your last weights and reps appear in each set as a guide.
Log it after the fact
Swipe right on a workout and tap Edit to set the date you did it and its start and finish times.
Show recent workouts
Limit the Workouts list to the past number of days with Show Recent Workouts at the top.
Workout notes
Tap Note on a workout to write down anything about the session.
Status at a glance
Badges show each workout and exercise as Planned, In Progress, Partial, Complete, or Skipped.

Workout Timer

Time your workout
Tap Start Workout on a workout's exercises. A banner on every page shows the time; tap it to jump back, straight to the sets of an exercise you're partway through.
Move to the next exercise
When every set is done, tap Next at the bottom of the Sets page, or Finish Workout after the last one.
Pick up where you left off
Stopped before finishing? Tap Restart Workout to resume the timer from when you started.
Keep the screen on
Turn on Keep Screen On in Settings and the screen won't dim or lock while a workout is running.

Exercises

Every kind of exercise
When adding an exercise, mark it as alternating (left and right reps), body weight, or a timed hold.
Name suggestions
Start typing an exercise name and pick one you've done before; its settings come with it. Change how many suggestions show in Settings.
Rep range presets
Pick a common rep range in one tap. Change the presets in Settings.
Copy to another workout
Swipe right on an exercise, tap Clone, and pick the workout to add it to.
Skip due to pain
Swipe left on an exercise and tap Skip, or tap Skip on its Sets page during a workout, then add a note saying why. It's marked Skipped and counts as complete; clone it later and its weights carry over unchanged. Swipe left again to undo.
Reorder
Tap Reorder, drag exercises or sets into place, then tap Done.

Sets

Warm-up sets
Swipe right on a set to mark it as a warm-up. Warm-ups are skipped by progressive overload.
Edit a completed set
A set with its weight and reps filled in is read-only. Swipe right on it and tap Edit to change it.
Progressive overload
Turn it on in Settings to raise the weight when you clone after reaching the top of your rep range; choose each set, all sets, or only your top set, and give an exercise its own increment or Increase When, or leave it out. Tap the trending-up icon on a set to see what you did before.
Equipment setup
Tap the wrench on the Sets page to see how you set up the equipment, like the seat height or pin positions, with your previous setups below it. Tap Add to save a new one. It follows the exercise into every workout.
Past notes
Tap Past Notes to see your notes from the last 5 times you did this exercise or workout.

Calculator

Plate calculator
Tap the calculator icon on the Sets page to see the plates for each side; tap + by the weight to add a pair of plates or any amount. Change Bar / Base for machines like a leg press; it's remembered for that exercise.
Estimated 1RM
Switch to 1RM for your estimated max and a percentage table. Tap a row to see its plates.
Your bar and plates
Set your usual bar and the plates you have in Settings.

History & Notes

Exercise history
Pick an exercise on the History tab to see every set you've logged. Swipe right on an entry to clone it into a workout.
All your notes in one place
The Notes tab lists every note, newest first. Filter by type and days, and tap Open to go to its workout or exercise.
Search
Use the search in the title bar to find workouts, exercises, and notes.

Your Data

Training journal
In Settings, tap Create next to Training Journal and pick a date range. It starts with your totals and best sets, then every workout with its sets and notes. Print it, or save it as a PDF.
Back up your data
Export everything to a file in Settings at any time, and restore it whenever you need to.
Pounds or kilograms
Switch units in Settings. Each unit keeps its own bar and plates.
Landscape
The screen stays in portrait. Turn on Rotate With Device in Settings to use it in landscape.
