RIVID DOSE
Tips & Features
What Rivid Dose can do, and where to find it. Many of the most useful features are a swipe or a tap away.
Reminders
- Set up a reminder
- On the Reminders tab, tap + and enter what you take: its name, medication or supplement, its form, and each dose (amount, unit, and strength). Add instructions like "with food" if you like.
- Times and days
- Give a reminder as many times a day as you need, and pick the days of the week (every day, weekdays, or the ones you choose), or every so many days, like every other day.
- Courses that end
- Turn on Ends and pick the last day for something you take for a while, like a 10-day antibiotic. It's dimmed under Reminders once it's over, and stays in your history.
- Notifications
- Each reminder can notify you at its times. A dose you've already checked off doesn't notify you. Turn on Remind Again to be notified every 5 to 60 minutes (up to 3 more times) until you check it off. Tap the bell on a reminder to turn its notifications on or off, and allow them for the app under Reminder Notifications in Settings.
- Rotate sites
- For injections, topicals, patches, and drops, add the sites you rotate through under Site Rotation, like Left Quad and Right Quad. Each dose on Today shows the next site, and checking it off moves the next dose on to the site after it, then back to the first. Notifications and the Reminders tab show the next site too.
- Search your reminders
- Tap the search icon in the title bar to find reminders by medication, dose, instructions, site, schedule ("Weekdays"), time ("8:00 AM"), or part of the day ("Evening").
Checking Off Doses
- Check it off
- On Today, tap the circle beside a reminder's dose when you take it. Tap it again to mark it as not taken.
- A different time or amount
- Tap the dose itself instead of the circle to change the time you took it, how much, or to add a note or where it was injected or applied.
- Skip a dose
- Swipe left on a reminder's dose you haven't taken to skip it on purpose. Skipped doses are kept apart from missed ones.
- Catch up on another day
- Use ‹ and › beside the date to check off doses on a day you forgot. On a past day, a dose you check off is logged at its reminder time. Tap Go to today to come back.
Logging Other Doses
- Add any dose
- Tap + on a part of the day, or the floating + button, to log anything you take that isn't on a reminder, like a pain reliever as needed.
- Things you've taken before
- Start typing a name and pick a suggestion: its type, form, and dose fill in from the last time you took it. Choose how many suggestions show with Auto-Complete Count in Settings.
- Sites you've used
- Start typing where a dose was injected or applied and pick a suggestion from the sites you've used before. The ones you've used for that medication come first.
- Any form
- Tablets, capsules, liquids, injections, topicals, drops, inhalers, patches, powders, or anything else. The form sets the unit a dose starts with, and you can type any unit you like.
- Take it again
- Swipe right on a dose to copy it to today at the current time. On today, it logs another one now.
- Delete a dose
- Swipe left on a dose you've logged to delete it. A reminder's dose goes back to not taken.
History
- Your day at a glance
- The top of Today shows how many reminder doses you've taken of those due, with how many you skipped, still have to take (or missed, on a past day), and your extra doses.
- Every day
- The History tab lists each day with the share of reminder doses you took and what you took, newest first. Days with a missed dose stand out. Tap a day to open it.
- Search your days
- Tap the search icon in the title bar to find the days with a medication, a dose detail like its site, a note, or a part of the day ("Morning") that matches, or by day or date ("Monday", "Oct 4"). The total at the top covers the days found.
- How far back
- Choose how many past days History shows with the Days picker. The total at the top covers the days listed.
- Every time you took it
- On the Meds tab, pick a medication or supplement to see each dose, newest first, how often and how much you took, its reminders, and its latest note. Tap a dose to open its day, or swipe right to copy it to any day and time.
- Search a medication's doses
- On the Meds tab, tap the search icon in the title bar to find the doses with a matching amount, site, note, taken or skipped, time or part of the day, or day or date.
Notes
- Notes about your day
- On Today (or any day), tap + on the Notes card to write how the day went, like how you slept or how you felt. Tap a note to change or delete it.
- Notes about a medication
- On the Meds tab, pick a medication or supplement and tap Add note, for things like side effects or how well it's working. You can also choose Medication when adding a note from a day. A note you add to a dose when you log or change it counts as a note about that medication too.
- All your notes
- The Notes tab lists every note, newest first, including the notes on your doses. Tap a note to change it (a dose's note opens its day, where you change the dose), swipe left to delete it, or swipe right to open its day. Tap + to add one.
- Find a note
- Show only Day Notes or Medication Notes. With Medication Notes, pick one medication or keep All Doses. On the Meds tab, See notes opens the Notes tab filtered to that medication.
- Search your notes
- Tap the search icon in the title bar to find notes by their text, the medication or dose they're about, the part of the day, or the day or date.
Your Data
- Dose journal
- In Settings, tap Create next to Dose Journal and pick a date range. It starts with the reminder doses you took, every medication and supplement, and your reminders, then every day with each dose and its notes. Print it for your doctor, or save it as a PDF.
- Back up your data
- Export your doses, reminders, and notes to a file in Settings at any time, and restore them whenever you need to, either replacing everything or adding to what's already here.
- Private and offline
- No account and no tracking: everything stays on your device and works without an internet connection.
- Not medical advice
- Rivid Dose helps you keep track. It doesn't check doses or interactions. Always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
